Description
The content of this workshop is twofold: first, we start out with an overview of typical career paths of postdocs in German academia and beyond. Then, we will focus on your personal competences. By learning how to analyse your competences, you will achieve a deeper understanding of what you bring to the table for future employers and what job profiles fit you best.

In short, the aim of this workshop is to

• help you understand the German academic system
• familiarize you with different job profiles in German academia
• teach you how to analyse your personal competences
• enable you to identify alternative career paths that fit your personal competences

The language of this workshop is English.

Dr. Maria Verena Peters is the contact person for Postdocs and Junior Faculty at the Graduate Center of TU Dortmund University. In addition to individual career counselling, she develops information and networking events for the target group.
